acupuncture for the lossof smellThe loss of sense of smell is a symptom of the smokers. Smoking causes this effect is seen significantly damaged, so it loses functionality (along with taste, to a lesser extent) as the body of smokers declines. However, smoking does not cause loss of smell.

The condition known as anosmia is defined as the loss of olfactory function per se, and is associated with diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, among others. How to avoid it? Acupuncture offers solutions that are published in a recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Cologne, Germany.

In this we worked with fifteen patients who received acupuncture treatment of ten sessions of thirty minutes a week, which measured their response to treatment in relation to olfactory functions.

After treatment the results were compared with those achieved by a group of patients who had received Anosmia supplements of B vitamins for twelve weeks, noting that the acupuncture group was higher recovery.

A better solution is added to the list of benefits of acupuncture, which not only directly affect the mood and moods, but also allow combat various kinds of diseases.
