Horton
Also called neuralgia headache and migraine headache by histamine.
It is characterized by predominance of males, consistent unilateral orbital, and initiation between two and three hours after the individual goes to sleep (is rare during waking hours).
The pain is usually intense, with lacrimation, rhinorrhea, nasal blockage and then, sometimes flushing, miosis (decrease the diameter of the pupil), ptosis (down from viscera or muscle, in which case the eyelids by an impairment of motor nerve oculomotor) and edema of the cheek, all of which takes about an hour or two.Tends to reappear every night for several weeks or a few months and then spend years without re-submitted. The pain of a particular access can end as quickly as it started. Attacks can recur after several years, being more feasible in times of stress, prolonged stress, overwork, and when the person suffers a severe emotional disturbance.
The picture is so characteristic that can not be confused with any other disease, although doctors are not familiar with it can get to suggest possibility of an aneurysm of the carotid, a hemangioma, brain tumor or sinusitis.
