Among the chronic-degenerative most dangerous, diabetes is one of the most difficult to treat. Prevention can save many lives.
Diabetes mellitus is a disease in Mexico is one of the leading causes of death. According to the INEGI, the mortality from diabetes mellitus in 2006 amounted to 13.8%. It is rather a disease that encompasses a heterogeneous group of systemic and chronic diseases of unknown variables which affect metabolism consequently resulting in abnormal elevation of blood glucose in the body.

The Continuing Fight Against Diabetes

Poor diet, inactivity and genetics have led to the rise of this disease in Mexico, so that should be forewarned and prepared to fight it.
It’s amazing to realize that every 10 seconds a person anywhere in the world dies from a cause related to diabetes. This is a serious public health problem that must be controlled immediately. Experts say the disease is a major cause of blindness in Mexico. Its origin derives from disorders related to diabetic retinopathy, a complication caused by the deterioration of blood vessels supplying the eyes, may even diminish vision.
